Upcoming Storytellers Summer Program 2024

July 15th - 19th at Media Pros Productions located inside the PCUSA Building | 100 Witherspoon St. Louisville, KY 40202

This immersive free camp aims to introduce young minds to the captivating

world of video production, learn about Media Literacy and provide valuable insights from

industry experts. Participants will have the unique opportunity to interact with a diverse lineup of speakers, including agency CEOs, actors, directors, and producers, who will share their experiences and expertise in the field of video production. From industry trends to creative processes, camp attendees will gain valuable knowledge that will inspire and empower their creativity. These young creatives will get to see production from start to finish and will be

actively involved in creating four short films, taking on roles such as camera operators,

lighting technicians, audio engineers, and more.

I established Upcoming Storytellers with a personal commitment to transforming the narrative within the production industry. Having faced adversity while growing my own business, I understand the many challenges that individuals of color, especially those who are dealing with low-income or at-risk circumstances, can encounter.

Our mission is to empower these young talents, planting the seeds of growth, prosperity, and fulfillment through the provision of vital resources, knowledge, and cutting-edge technology. We firmly believe that diversity is a catalyst for innovation and creativity. Our primary focus is on providing a platform for underserved creatives to showcase their talents. From honing behind-the-camera skills to mastering the art of film production, we equip these individuals with the tools they need to thrive in a highly competitive production industry.

The youth involved in Upcoming Storytellers embark on a transformative journey, gaining hands-on experience while working closely with experienced creatives and industry professionals.
